Vivek and Gina’s journey to love is a testament to the goodness and grace of God.
His hand was evident in their story from the beginning when Vivek’s niece Srishti, and Gina’s niece Gabby, became best friends at their elementary school in Virginia Beach. This led the two families to also become good friends and in the course of time, Vivek’s sister, Varsha, and Gina’s sister, Jenny, got to talking about their siblings. They realized that Vivek and Gina could be perfect for each other and should meet. This was right in the middle of the COVID pandemic when international travel was challenging, to say the least. So they orchestrated a virtual introduction, setting the stage for a love story that would defy distance and circumstances. Vivek, residing in the bustling city of Louisville in the U.S., and Gina, in the picturesque island of Bohol in the Philippines, found excitement and companionship in their online conversations.
They shared dreams, laughter, and stories, forming a bond that endured and thrived even in the face of a global pandemic. COVID restrictions and the miles between them meant that their in-person meetings were few and far between, but each rendezvous was filled with the joy and excitement of a love that was growing stronger with every passing day.
Another beautiful element of this story is how God bonded Vivek’s heart with that of Gina’s four-year-old daughter, Gya Emery, aka Em Em, who calls him daddy and who he loves deeply as his own daughter.

For the venue, they chose the elegant Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach, the city where their nieces and sisters live, who were instrumental in getting them started on this journey.
